LOCAL "GREEN PATHS" ("BALADES VERTES")

Initiated by the Saône-&-Loire Departmental Council, the network of "Green Paths" ("Balades Vertes") is accessible to all nature enthusiasts, whether they be hikers, mountain bikers or horseback riders. These paths are all laid out as loops, with plenty of variety and along high-quality local itineraries.

Easy to recognise thanks to a standardised signing system throughout all of Saône-&-Loire, these "Green Paths" lead the visitor into 97 towns and villages. From north to south and east to west, a total of 161 "Green Path" circuits and 1,800 km of trails await our department's nature lovers.

PRACTICAL GUIDES

An information panel - look for the R.I.R. sign (Relais Informations Randonnées - Information booth for nature outings) or the emblem, typically set up in the centre of the village, serves to:

display local marked itineraries,
highlight points of interest along the various paths,
provide information on tourist features and services available in the immediate area.

This panel marks the point of departure for your outing.

It's now up to you to choose your preferred course and then follow the alphanumeric symbols that guide you on your specific route.
