Sales-tasting rooms are open in all of the estates, winery cooperatives, tasting cellars and major wine houses.

A cooperative winery is a group of wine producers who deliver their respective grape harvests to the cooperative. The wines, blended and vinified on site, are then marketed collectively. These cooperatives generally feature a tasting and sales room on site as well.

The winemaker has a small estate or holding (seldom more than 5 to 6 hectares). The harvest is processed and bottled for sale, as a range of wines limited to the local appellations. Tasting is typically held in a cellar with a decor full of period charm.
